The Kalenjin Coffee Project is a community initiative supported by the Cheptoek Foundation and Discover Sipi Falls, aimed at empowering local coffee farmers around Sipi Falls and Mount Elgon region. Coffee is one of the most important crops grown in this area, yet many small scale farmers face challenges such as limited access to markets, low pricing and lack of exposure to local market and international visitors who value specialty coffee directly from the local suppliers.
